Company Closure Notice

Oolithica Geoscience Ltd finally closed its doors and ceased trading in March 2025 after more than 30 years of serving the international oil and gas industry.

We would like to thank all of our clients, past and present, for their patronage and support and for the remarkable opportunities we have been afforded.

We thank also our former members of staff – Alun Williams, Gianluca Frijia, Joseph Bernhaus, Gary Aillud, Rossella Sbarra, Alessandro Lanfranchi, Bill Price – for their contribution and their service. It has been our good fortune to work with such a talented and committed team. They have all have now moved on to successful careers elsewhere and we wish them well for the future.

We should also like to thank the many individuals, institutions and companies with whom we have collaborated over the years and who have helped us in providing specialist services in the fields of geochemistry, biostratigraphy, petrophysics and isotope geology.

Our thanks to all.

Graham Pazdzierski, Neil Laker and Chris Toland

About Oolithica

Established in 1994, Oolithica is a multidisciplinary geoscience consultancy with a wealth of expertise to offer our clients.  Although we frequently perform routine sedimentology studies, we specialise in integrating a large range of datasets into uniquely designed studies, using sequence stratigraphy as the framework.  In this way, we are able to derive optimal value from our clients datasets, and best solve our clients problems, particularly through our ability to integrate outcrop, well and seismic datasets into the final product.

Our work ranges from rank exploration through to field development, starting with fieldwork in support of seismic and regional studies, right through to complex diagenetic and reservoir characterisation studies.  We have extensive worldwide experience in both carbonate and clastic play fairways.

So what differentiates us from our competitors?

  • We offer a bespoke problem solving service, with the emphasis on individually tailored

    work programmes

  • We work at a variety of scales from pore-scale reservoir investigations to regional review

    studies

  • We offer a wide range of analytical services in-house, and have well-established

relationships with world-class associates in other specialist fields

  • We are competent in seismic stratigraphy and seismic facies analysis

  • We have extensive fieldwork experience, much of it undertaken in remote locations, in

support of exploration programmes or to provide reservoir analogues

  • We offer a wide range of field-based training seminars

  • We have exceptional regional knowledge and experience in key hydrocarbon provinces including the greater Middle East region, West and East Africa, and SE Asia
